Community Hall & Events

The Omori-Kuratau Community Hall, managed by the Omori Kuratau Charitable Trust, serves as a vibrant gathering space for our community.

Located at 220 Omori Road, between the Omori and Kuratau settlements (next to the fire station), the hall was built in 2006 through community funding and volunteer labour. It operates entirely on fundraising and generous donations from community members. Thanks to the dedicated committee members who manage the hall and organise its events.

Free WiFi

Thanks to the ongoing support and use of this fantastic facility, the Hall Trustees have now installed a community WiFi hub at the hall. This WiFi is available 24/7 for both local residents and visitors to use free of charge.

We’re currently working through a few technical steps to make this an open network. In the meantime, you can connect using the password: omorihall

We encourage everyone to make use of this service, but please be respectful and avoid any misuse so it remains available and reliable for all.

While the plan is unlimited, speeds may reduce if excessive data is used.

If you have any feedback or notice any issues with the WiFi, please feel free to reach out to any of the current committee members.
